Open the Letter

Privacy

Short, because there is little to tell.

Your letter

When you drop a photo or PDF into the translator, your own browser reads it, on your device. This site has no upload endpoint for documents — there is nowhere for the letter to go, and the page’s security policy forbids it from connecting anywhere but this site’s own files and the visit counter described under Tracking — which receives timings, never contents. We cannot see your letter. That isn’t a promise of restraint; it’s how the site is built.

The consult form

If you send the consultation form, the things you typed — name, contact, optional notice code, optional note — are delivered to SMIB Management by an email delivery service, and used for exactly one purpose: replying to you. We don’t build marketing lists from it, and we ask you not to put anything sensitive in it.

The form’s bot check

The consult form — and only the consult form — runs a small bot-protection check operated by Cloudflare, called Turnstile. It exists to keep automated spam out of a human inbox, and it never runs where your letter is read: the translator pages carry no third-party scripts at all. Cloudflare describes what the check processes in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Tracking

There are no advertising trackers and no cookies on this site. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookieless counter that tells us which pages are read and how quickly they load, never who you are; it keeps no personal profiles and follows you nowhere. The only third-party scripts on the site are that counter and the form’s bot check, described above.
